i went through the bottom of the fcg . any fix i can do or is this one scrap. this came about by getting excited and rushing the cut with out checking my work. :oops:

armor....I did the same thing.
I tried JB-Welding it but was unsuccessful. I gave up on mine, its now a paper weight.
But I am sure someone on this forum will give better advice and there is someway a fix for it. You will never get the integrity with the lower as you would if it were still solid. But I am sure if you get it fixed it will function and will be a great plinker :)

It should still be functional with a "giant" trigger slot. Go ahead and finish it, you've got nothing to lose--and you can always claim it's a "custom improvement to enhance trigger group access for 'tuning'"

You could always find a buddy with an AC TIG welder and weld up a 1/8 inch piece of aluminum sheet. It wouldn't be too tough for someone who's practiced in aluminum welding--but I'd just leave it open just to be different. :lol:

Maybe give this stuff a shot. It might work, it might not.
For $65 in aluminum repair stuff.......I might just purchase a new 80%
