Well My measurements were off... am I SOL

I went a little bit deep...
Instead of going to 1.25 inches I went 1.29 inches... Is this going to be a problem?
thx

Did you end up going threw the "floor?" of the reciever? If not it really shouldn't effect much other then trigger pressure. Really if one was to lazy to do the correct measurements you could drill all the way threw. Drill another hole for a pin so the trigger spring could rest on it and it'd still function correctly.

To be honest My measurements were off a little to and it still functions perfectly. I could be wrong and it could be on a base by base thing. But as long as you function check before firing the weapon you should be fine.

But don't take my word for it :)

I would install the trigger and hammer, with springs, and see if the angle of the spring to the floor is off enough to effect the trigger pull. If the trigger pull works fine, then I wouldn't sweat it too much. You can, as well, if the angle doesn't bind anything, stiffen the spring to get a stock pull, but most guys are using a 'weaker' spring to get a lighter trigger pull. You might very well be fine.

I did the same thing once, but not quite that deep. I went to 1.26 and it didn't effect anything. Just install the trigger/hammer/saftey and make sure everything functions. At that depth, you may be close to going through the bottom. Worse case, you could build up the bottom with JB weld, then mill back flat. But don't anodize if you do this, or anodize before you JB weld.

Thanks for the feedback... I still need to clean it up a bit on my buddy's mill before I can get the trigger group in. Once I do I will let you all know how it works. It still has pretty good ammount of metal below so I am hoping it will be fine.
